X-Factor has recently become the target of the all new-not so different Weapon X program. They have just learned of an important element in their agenda, which is to eliminate all previous affiliates of the original organization.
They have already succeeded in disposing of Wolverine and Kane. The rest of former Weapon X candidates might as well have a target painted on them.
This puts X-Factor in a world o' hurt considering they still have Wildcat and Dragon in their ranks. With their base of operations destroyed, the team left with Deadpool for one of his safehouses.
Deadpool went off on his own to locate Sabretooth, most likely the next target in Weapon X's hunt . . . . leaving X-Factor alone, but not without a goodbye present.

THE SAFEHOUSE EXPLODES AND DRAGON'S PSI-SHIELD IS BOMBARDED WITH A CONCUSSIVE BLAST AND DEBRIS. THE SHIELD HOLDS, HOWEVER, AND X-FACTOR IS LEFT STANDING IN THE ASHES.
